Mrs. Marquez was the name of my teacher, she leave near our place. She is more of a violinist, but I guess she spent her time teaching the piano instead of the violin.
I think I've been studying with her for more or less 4 years.Haven't reach that much technical facility, perhaps to my own lack of discipline.
I have other three teachers, but my time spent with them is only about a month or few months.... moreMrs. Marquez was the name of my teacher, she leave near our place. She is more of a violinist, but I guess she spent her time teaching the piano instead of the violin.

In classical music precision is of essence in terms of dynamics and timing in interpreting a written music.
In jazz, although precision is not much an issue, you have to know a great deal of music theory, in terms of patterns, scales and chords, transpositions, modulation and you have to do it on the spot. less
